2022 Edition

Since 2010 all Corto e Fieno’s screenings are free of charge. Everybody can help us supporting the festival becoming a member of Asilo Bianco, through contribution or buying a bag, a gadget or a poster.

Every movie is in original language subtitled in Italian and, if written, in English (Eng Sub).

*Partecipating to the festival and all its events implies ones own consent to be photographed or filmed, with no limitation. Besides, it implies the consent to publish pictures, videos and audio contents in which the subject can be recognized. Any content that can harm the public or single morality will be immediately cancelled by Corto e Fieno’s archive.

La Sigla

La locandina 2020 è firmata dall’illustratore Luca Di Sciullo (www.lucadisciullo.com), che ha disegnato e animato anche la sigla dell’undicesima edizione.

Ho sempre sentito il mondo rurale come molto vicino a me. Mio nonno, un autentico contadino, scandiva le stagioni con i lavori da fare in campagna. Ogni tanto da piccolo andavo ad aiutarlo e vivevo quei momenti come se fossi all’interno di un film di cui lui era il protagonista. Mi portava a liberare le viti dalle erbacce, a dar l’acqua alle piante, a raccogliere le mele. Di quei momenti ricordo soprattutto gli odori: quello della terra appena arata, delle mele mature e l’inconfondibile profumo del Fiat 505c. Corto e Fieno per me sono due agricoltori, due amici, che al termine di una stancante giornata di lavoro nei campi riposano le braccia e illuminati dal maxischermo si godono un film nella frescura di una serata autunnale.

Artistic Direction

Davide Vanotti

Davide Vanotti (1972) collaborates on literary, cinematographic and artistic projects. After studying modern letters at the University of Pavia he spent some periods abroad as a writer in residence. He teaches Letters in a high school. Co-founder of Asilo Bianco, he is the curator of Corto e Fieno and Fogli/e Scritte. He published the collection of stories “Acqua 2” and the novel "La Pietra sopra il Mare". "I diari di Malidor" is his blog.

Paola Fornara

Paola Fornara graduated in Philosophy with a dissertation on Jean-François Lyotard and cinema. She has collaborated with the Turin Film Festival and the Turin GLBT Film Festival, and she attends various cinema events both in Italy and around Europe. For many years she worked for one of the leading independent Italian music labels, for which she was Head of International and Marketing. She collaborates with the Asilo Bianco since 2011.
