Marina Karpova was born in 1972 in Minsk, Belarus. From 1992 to 1997 she studied at the Belorussian Academy of Arts, with a major in Animated Film Directing. In 1998 and 1999 she was Art Director at Belarusfilm cinema studio, and by 2011 she wrote and directed over 40 commercials and several television shorts and music videos. In 2011 she became an Animation Instructor at European Humanities University in Vilnius, Lithuania.
