Fingers. Hands. Facial expressions. Screams. Who “lives” morra? It is an ancient game that evokes an almost unexplainable energy to this day. Illegal in Italy, the game survives here thanks solely to officially sanctioned events.

Giacomo Bolzani was born in 1988 in San Benedetto Po, along the banks of the Po river, and studied cinema at the Gorizia DAMS art school. He attended film school in Milan and later earned a master’s degree from the Cineteca di Bologna, specializing in interactive documentary. He lives in Milan, where he works as a filmmaker/editor. His short documentary Caravaggio era un maiale had its premiere at the Torino Film Festival in 2019.
