Kiem Holijanda
The brothers Andi (13) and Florist (20) live in a poor and desolate village in Kosovo. By selling milk they earn just enough money to support the family. When Andi discovers a card of a Dutch porn star in their bedroom, he needs a telephone to watch it. He is so obsessed with it, he doesn’t notice his brother has chosen this day to say goodbye to him.

Sarah Veltmeyer (1988) is a director and screenwriter from Amsterdam. As an autodidact she made her first short film “Gotta” in 2015. The following year, the provided her with a financial contribution to realize her second short film, “Kiem Holijanda”. This film is set in Kosovo and made with a partially local crew. The film went on to win the Crystal Bear for Best Short film at Berlinale Generation and screen at many prestigious festivals. In 2018 Sarah finished her third short film called “Never Forget”.
