Nino Christen was born in Kathmandu, Nepal, in 1984. As a child, he moved to Maseru in Lesotho, and from there to Switzerland, where he studied to become a graphic designer. He then graduated in Arts and Visual Communication in Animation in Lucerne. ‘L’Île Noire’ is his fourth short film.
