Four episodes, four directors (Fabio Bobbio, Francesco Clerici, Riccardo Palladino, Filippo Ticozzi), around fifty students aged between sixteen and eighteen.
The stories share neither characters nor plot: they share a location and a condition. The woods — sometimes as a real setting, sometimes as a state one finds oneself in without realising it — is the point at which each protagonist ceases to be who they were before.
Never Mind (Palladino) — five teenagers who have skipped school find a suitcase packed to the brim in the woods. What’s inside is never mentioned, but whether or not to take it will be the first major choice of their adolescence.
The Wind of the Dead (Ticozzi) — a boy wanders through an unreal wood and, in a small hut, finds a familiar figure gasping for breath. The building where he wakes up is empty, the town is empty, and the gravestone in the cemetery bears his photograph. Owl’s Eyes (Clerici) — a girl held captive in a shed by her boyfriend finds the strength to fight back in the natural world around her.
The Sound of the Wind (Bobbio) — in an institution where everyone does the same things without looking at one another, a patient begins to hear, in the wind seeping under the doors, the voice of a girl who will awaken him.
