Qiqi Hou (b. 1996, Quanzhou, China) is a filmmaker and editor. Growing up in a family-run seafood business in Quanzhou, her practice moves between documentary, essay film, and autobiographical forms, often returning to the family, places, and histories from which she comes.

She holds an MA in Documentary Film from the University of the Arts London. Her previous film, My Mum Rita, won Best Short Film at Duemila30 and was nominated for the RTS Student Awards and shortlisted for the Grierson Awards. The Quiet Shadow premiered in the Opening Scenes section of Visions du Réel 2026.
