Guoxin Wang was born and raised in a Chinese village. He became interested in painting while in high school. He got involved in filmmaking by chance and decided to become a film director urged by a strong desire for storytelling and visual presentation. Therefore, he majored in film production designing at Xi’an Academy of Fine Arts and Contemporary Art Practice in Bathspa University, then studied Film and Television in Savannah College of Art and Design (Master’s degree), after two years of working in professional filmmaking crews as production designer. Guoxin currently works as a TV commercial director in China, hoping to find more chances to write and direct additional narrative films.
