Valle Camonica, a large alpine valley located in northern Italy, has distinctive features of cultural and environmental uniqueness that have allowed it to obtain two important UNESCO awards.
For the 3rd year, Borgo degli Artisti of Bienno (Brescia), in collaboration with Corto e Fieno – Rural Film Festival and with the patronage and support of Comunità Montana of Valle Camonica, promotes the competition for short films “SEGNINCORTO –Valle Camonica / Heritage and landscape”. The competition is dedicated to the memory of Pierfausto Bettoni, inspirer and tireless animator of Borgo degli Artisti.
Participation in the competition section “Video residencies” and in the out of competition section “Segnincorto” is reserved for short films focused on the territory of Valle Camonica in its various expressions.
The competition includes the section “Video residencies” for residency experiences aimed at the production of short films. The screenplays must be sent by May 31st, 2021. The three selected directors will participate in the residency program in the municipality of Cedegolo (Brescia) aimed at the production of the final short film.
Directors who have already shot and produced short films related to Valle Camonica can send their works. The short films will be selected by the jury and, if deemed worthy of note, will be presented out of competition as part of “Segnincorto”. Again, the deadline for sending films is May 31st, 2021.
All useful information and complete rules can be found in the call for entries, which can be downloaded on this page.
