Duncan Hatch is a New Hampshire born, Boston based animator, illustrator, and designer. Passionate for drawing and animation from a young age, he concentrated an overactive imagination into surreal and fantastical art. Through adolescence, strange creatures spilled out onto class notes and stacks of sketchbooks. As Duncan formed an identity around art, he came to study animation at Massachusetts College of Art and Design, focusing on traditional 2D animation of characters and abstract forms. He recently completed his senior degree film “Transmutation”, a straight ahead, pencil on paper animation, that aims to bring new life to the stream of consciousness he has attempted to express since childhood.
