I racconti del Re

A poetic documentary, where water marks time, between images and words. Water as the primary source of energy for the place, to power the mill and to work iron, as well as a basic element for human survival. Water is the common thread of economic life in Bienno, in the Camonica Valley (BS). We follow the protagonists, where water accompanies their work, through the different stages: from the initial material to the finished product.

* The film was made as part of the project RESIDENCES IN VIDEO | SIGNATURE – Valle Camonica / Heritage and Landscape competition organised together with the friends of the Comunità Montana di Valle Camonica, managing body of the Cultural District and coordinating body of the UNESCO site and MAB area, and those of the Borgo degli artisti di Bienno (BS). The project is dedicated to the memory of Pierfausto Bettoni, the inspirer and indefatigable animator of the Borgo degli Artisti, who wanted to bring Corto e Fieno to Valle Camonica with conviction and enthusiasm.
