So many of you asked us for them and finally, the new calls for entries for the 2024 edition of Corto e Fieno – Rural Film Festival are online. The search for rural films and shorts for the 15th edition of the Rural Film Festival is back on.

The festival will be held on Friday, October 4, Saturday, October 5, and Sunday, October 6, 2024, still on Lake Orta, again between the provinces of Novara and Verbania in Piedmont. We will be hosted this year by the historic Cinema Teatro Sociale in Omegna and the SOMSI hall in Gozzano.

Corto e Fieno continues to bring attention to rural culture, in Italy and around the world. All selected short films will be presented during the days of the Festival in the sections “Orchard” (international short film competition) and “Sprouts – Drawing Cinema” (international short film competition dedicated to animation and animated drawings).

The calls for entries can be downloaded from the “how to participate” section of the website. The length of the films (including titles) must not exceed 30 minutes. We accept both published and unpublished works made from 2022 onward.
Selections will remain open until Tuesday, April 30, 2024. All information on submission and entry methods and costs can be found in the announcement. Facilities are available for films submitted by March 31, 2024.
