A young travelling photographer and his assistant photograph a number of Tibetan nomads, whom they ask to pose for them. The families are presented in front of strange and exotic backdrops. Through these shots, the photographer entwines unique links with each of them.

Hu Wei was born in Beijing in 1983. He lives and works between France and China. After studying at the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris and in Le Fresnoy – Studio national des arts contemporains, Hu Wei developed an artistic practice midway between cinema and the plastic arts.
